Weekly Roundup #16

I haven't got many photo's to share with you this week unfortunately. I've been really busy with uni work and then I've also made a quick trip home!

It's been Kate's birthday and her mum sent a huge cupcake and champagne

She also had a Harry Potter themed party!

I made a gammon and pea risotto

I have ridiculously weak tea!

Casual night out (didn't end up wearing it) and a crazy friend

I've been riding my new bike

I'm a regular cat lady and new aunt :D

Toad in the hole at nan's!

Busy week. and I think I'll be doing a lot less work this week and a lot more catching up with my new niece.

The last birthday post, I promise

So, I think I have gifts from the last couple of friends that I didn't get to see during my birthday celebrations.

From Chesney, in a personalised bag, I got a sweet magnetic photo frame, minnie mouse pez and rainbow twizzlers (weakness for American sweets)

From Kate, I got an array of moustache jewellery (favourites are the necklace and earrings) and then also a present from when she went to Venice - a Murano glass sparrow

From Grace, a beautiful huge photoframe

There was also another unexpected parcel.. but from mum this time :)

More Birthday Posts

How ridiculously long can I drag my 21st out for? yeah, still going! My old housemate (boohoo) Alyna bought me craft-themed gifts this year, and although she was worried, the girl did good :)

although it is all beautiful, I'm super excited about the Washi tape!! I've been looking for some for ages, she somehow secretly knew! Thanks so much Aly :)

Birthday continued!

My lovely, beautiful friends Harriet and Theana told me on my birthday (July) that I'd have to wait until I got back up to uni for my birthday present. They said it was a surprise and that I'd love it.

They were so right.

These guys are amazing. You should know by now that I love saturday morning kitchen/James Martin, and that I watch it like it's my religion. Well, the girls booked us a table at James Martin's restaurant - the Leeds Kitchen. When we got there some kind ladies took our jacket, and the girls said that we'd be going for the taster menu - 6 courses with wine. My goodness was I spoiled!!

James Martin new it was my birthday so he signed my card

cream of cauliflower soup

pressing of ham hock, celeriac remoulade and red wine shallot puree

pan fried fillet of mackerel with chargrilled asparagus and devilled butter dressing

slow cooked ox cheek with creamed potatoes and pot roasted vegetables

my beautiful friends

Yorkshire curd tart served with creme fraiche and raspberries (and a candle for the birthday girl)

Cherry and vanilla jelly

with coffee

I came home super stuffed and super spoilt, I was the luckiest birthday girl this year. 21is quite clearly the one to beat!
