Fusion Injector

Okay, so that title is a bit of overkill for the actual content of today's but I wanted to add some fun to life, because who doesn't like fun? My lovely friend Hollie got me the sweetest little Christmas present that I wanted to show off  share with you. May I present, the teapot infuser

It makes a delicious cup of tea and it's super easy to clean, and lovely to look at obviously. But Michael asked me if we could brew coffee (from grounds) in there, I said no but I'm not 100% sure... do any of you know??

Weekly Roundup #36

I have had another good week, as I've been making the most of my last few days in my big city! I started out my week making popcorn on the hob - the old fashioned and best way.. without a proper lid ahaha.

I started packing with just one box.. that has now grown

I had a farewell dinner with Jess and Eley :) we had amaretto tea and blondies

I/Mum bought me some new skirts from a humorous charity shop (thanks mum!)

A friend visited for a day in my little area -
a whole separate post on this else this post will never end haha

Rosi and I went to another little independent cinema to see man of steel
(I love how cheap these are compared to the big chains!!)

I met my boss in town and we went to yo sushi for lunch (both addicted!)
I bought a new lipstick (had a voucher) and a lovely necklace from New Look (£4!!)

A day out with my God mother - again, another post needed! and dinner with Rosi

Dinner at Theana's with Harriet - Homemade Gyros, incredible!

My beautiful flowers from Michael :)

Crushing on dream houses

It's been a lovely week filled with lots of friends and good fun. As sad as I will be to leave all my friends behind, I'm definitely ready to go home for a long while. I'm going to be redecorating my room so expect a post about that too!

Weekly roundup #29

Happy Easter!! I am currently sat here eating a milk chocolate cookie.. I have more than missed these during lent. Did you give something up? How good is it to have again?! Jilian isn't going to be happy with me though..

It's been a week filled with working, writing essays, seeing my niece, missing Michael, good food (as always!), sorting things for my dissertation, going on freeeeeezing cold walks and seeing family (so a rather good one :p). I heard from Michael on Friday, and he's doing well - he sounds better when he's had a good dinner, typical boy, ha! Although he says 'okay I have one minute left' and we carry on and get cut off without a goodbye.. we're yet to have a goodbye.. oops. I went to his family home last night to visit his parents and siblings which was good, but it did make me miss him more.

my week started off with scones.. mmm

I then tried making falafels with my home bestie, Hollie. We were both impressed!
(and roast veg pesto pasta)

she brought neopolitan wafers for dessert, but we had to chop them in half because she didn't like strawberry and I couldn't have the chocolate! We spent the evening watching twilight :)

tea with mum on good Friday

Yesterday dad and I went to Hugh's river cottage canteen (review soon!)

then last night I went to my sisters where we burnt some excess wood!

and Easter Sunday.. so many goodies to tuck into!
No Michael to make me an easter egg hunt though :(

I've got lots of uni work to do next week and an interview.. I reckon it'll end up being a quiet one, which is okay :) are you up to anything good?

London 2013, part two

On the second day we woke up a bit later and headed off to Camden market. We wandered around the stalls and then decided to grab some food. It reminded me of Indonesian food halls where you could get whatever you wanted from a wide range of stalls, so handy AND tasty.

I had a mushroom pizza (cooked on the spot) and Michael had Chinese!

I don't know if you're getting this theme but animals in London are rather cheeky!

(quite a long post again so I'll let you escape now if you wish to)

Friday's Fadaise #6

I have had a very good Friday this week! I met some friends (Eley - really that's just Ellie, she just spells it like that, and Kate) for tea and cake at a sweet cafe this morning

I had tea and a lemon cupcake

Then after my lecture everyone stuck around for a mini gathering and we had tonnes of food, prosecco and cava.. which you can imagine made me rather giggly. I called mum on my walk home which she loved ha.

This is everyone in my class

This was a wonderful Japanese treat, tasted like peanut butter :s
And I like this little fella keeping an eye on me as I'm working
This was my present from Kate which also makes me happy. Origami sticky notes!

How was your Friday?
