Whilst it is certainly getting chillier I do love Autumn. Today has been full of big scarves and coat shopping... I am in love with Laura Ashley.

Glorious weekend
We have had the best weekend with friends- meeting in London, stopping for coffee, wandering around Southbank, Covent Garden and Brixton food market before coming home to a tapas style dinner.

up, down, jump around
Before this blog post I always wore my hair down with this dress. I can't remember what else I was doing, but my hair was bothering me and I tied it up. I got back to taking pictures and actually preferred it with my hair up. I bought these leggings by accident, they were in a sealed pack and I thought they were going to be black, unfortunately not. Now they're sold out and I can't get black ones, and I don't know if I hate them too much and need to return them all together or if I can deal with it. They definitely don't go with my brown boots is my only clear issue, as I like dresses and boots. Can you help a sister out??
Oh and you can probably tell but this is the dress that is the same cut/shape as the purple one I had too many issues with!

Mustard lovin'
Michael thinks I hate the colour yellow. and it's true, I mostly find it offensive. Unless it's a mustard yellow, and it suits it's purpose. Our mustard and grey living room? Suitable. His bright yellow hoody that's just really yellow all the time? Offensive. My lovely mustard top with the flower pattern that Hollie gave me? Lovely. It's just how it goes.
Paired simply with a leather jacket, jeans and those heeled boots from the other day!

Prints galore
I love that it's become acceptable for prints to be worn together. I didn't realise I had such a love for it until I bought a leopard print belt...
I kinda hate to admit too that I'm choosing to wear this top backwards.. is that too weird? I can take it back. But I love the stripes on this top, and hate the lips. Sometimes I wear it inside out but everyone can tell it's inside out. dilemma dilemma. Still, this has some kind of charm... right?? I'm also slightly repulsed by how pale I am... so much so, I've fake tanned since these photo's were taken, ha.
Oh, and my hair was like this- fancy fancy ;)

Skorts..
I was on training today, which means I was granted a whole hour lunch break! I'm still looking for a few things for the flat, and the little town I was in has a dozen charity shops I like to peruse at my own lunchly leisure.
I managed to pick up a bargain of a skirt (£1!) that looks like this...
And actually turned out to be a pair of shorts... PAHAHA

Turtle
The girls (Theana and Harriet) decided to gang up on me and pressure me into buying a turtle neck. They said it revolutionized their wardrobe and made them feel fancy. Well, I trusted them and they were right. This is my current go to outfit; it's so cosy, warm and every part of my body is covered! With the bitter cold out (it just catches your breath sometimes!) I need more and more things to wear to stay alive.
Skirt from Primark, turtle neck from H&M, boots from ebay!
A very cheap outfit, but one that also makes me feel very nice :)
Is it cold where you are? are you ready for Christmas now? My decorations aren't up yet but my sisters are, and probably my mums...

What I wore: Tied up
My nan knitted me this jumper for Christmas last year or the one before and I still love it - I look forward to Autumn just to be able to crack it out again. I think growing out my side fringe has been the best decision I've made in a long time. And going to a couple of job interviews (thus needing to tie my hair back), has given me more confidence in doing so - most other times I've felt far too manly with my hair up (I don't know why! I just do! I'd always rather have my hair down). These boots are also a huge staple in my wardrobe, they are definitely going to be worn out by the time Spring comes around :)

What I wore: Pastel Jumper, Series
This little beauty's making its second appearance, first one here....
I paired it with my rabbit dress, which made me happy as I was wearing it when I bought it and it was a wonderful coincidence it suited so well! I didn't think it would because the rabbit shade is definitely darker, but I think it looks pretty sweet :) The jumper is too big and I was happy about this at first, cause I wanted it to be cosy, but it's turned slightly annoying and now I'm looking into shrinking it.. has anyone ever successfully done that? or is it playing with fire? it's made out of wool.... I'll let you know what I decide to do, ha.

What I wore: Outer Layers
This is a really old coat, I wore it for Michael's passing out parade. And, I just can't love it. It's too big, it puffs out too much, I don't know! It's just wrong! I am good at changing things and making them into something I want them to be, but I'm stuck with this number. I'm going to move the buttons so I can do it up tighter, thus adjusting the size slightly, and I'm going to take the badges off the arms.. but other than that I am not sure what I can do. Perhaps that will be enough? I don't know. Do you have any ideas? what do you reckon? I know it's big and warm and hooded - the perfect recipe for a good coat, but it's just not quite right.
