another catch up

You know I said I was going to try and get the photo's off of Michael to share his surprise/our day out? Finally got them. okay he gave them to me on the day we took them I've just been busy, my bad.

The surprise was that I was going to take him up onto Dartmoor in the pitch black so we could try making glow in the dark bubbles, light sparklers, have a mini picnic and look at the stars. As you can appreciate, it was quite dark and we couldn't take pictures of the bubbles but here's a little sneak

 

The next day, we met at his, made some grape kool aid to take with us, and popped on our way to the aquarium

 

we decided we wanted a jelly fish (like Will in seven pounds)

this is actually a jellyfish breeding lab!

Michael being brave as he doesn't like these...

of course there was some kind of cool window-floor to walk over

we found nemo

as well as some other weird creatures

 and a blind turtle!

we then left, grabbed some food on the Barbican and laughed about being an old married couple that share their lunch

and ate ice cream

We then went our separate ways as Michael wanted to buy a bike and I went to my grandparents for dinner, he then came round for some rice pudding and jam

we then went to the cinema and watched the possession or whatever scary current film it is, it was actually quite good! I don't get scared often but that one did freak me a bit. The next day we had our own things to do but met in the evening for the aforementioned sunset and fire.

I look super tired but that's okay, I was, but I was also pretty darn happy

Super couple of days, wouldn't have changed a thing :) do you get to watch the sunset often?

So, I don't know how many of you are eager beavers like me, but did you spot my new button?! I've never been able to make one before (I've done the design but didn't know how to get that little boxy-text-bit under for you guys to show some love until my sister showed me). It was very handy and I'm all pleased with myself (even though it was so simple I hardly did anything).

Long overdue

So, as Michael kindly mentioned 'you're getting so behind on your blog'. I know I know, I do apologise. I have been so busy! As I said previously, I drove back up to uni on Sunday and kindly stayed at my friend Graces house (5* easily), had subwarden training Monday and Tuesday, moved my stuff into my new flat from Graces both evenings, today I've had first aid training, site induction and more unpacking. I'm currently on shift too which is why this post has taken so long to write ha.

So, before I left, on the Saturday prevening and evening, Michael and I went to a local little beach, watched the sunset and chatted and then went back to my house and toasted marshmellows on a home lit chimneer!
