Skorts..

I was on training today, which means I was granted a whole hour lunch break! I'm still looking for a few things for the flat, and the little town I was in has a dozen charity shops I like to peruse at my own lunchly leisure. 

I managed to pick up a bargain of a skirt (£1!) that looks like this... 

And actually turned out to be a pair of shorts... PAHAHA

I'm sorry for the crappy photos but this hilarious incident needed documenting. 

SO MANY NEW CLOTHES

Expect a couple upcoming outfit posts as my friends have been uber generous, gone through their wardrobe of clothes to get rid of and donated them to meeee! I have done the same (it's more like a clothes swap tbh - Harriet's going to be reading this a going, I didn't get any of your clothes, nope you're right, mine went to Gem!) and we all have lovely new items to style. Today I am showing you something from Harriet, which I loveeee and was so sad for her that she was getting rid. It's a pink top from topshop...

Knobbly Knees.

I have been helping my boss clean out her closet and drawers of old things that she no longer wants or needs. I love getting organised and her room looks so much better for it! It also means I get first dibs on her clothes ;) It got me thinking though, and meant I ended up looking at my belongings and deciding if I needed everything I have. Especially seeing as I am moving home soon and I'm sure it won't all fit in my car.. So yes. I decided to get rid of some clothes, and on the pile was a pair of bootcut jeans that made me feel fat. I don't need this jeans, but I do need a new pair or shorts. Therefore, I went Edward-scissor-hands on them, and chopped away. I plan on making them a lot prettier - finishing up the stitching and perhaps even embroidering or generally customising them, but for now they are suitable :) 

 

I've tried doing something like this before and cutting too short too early, so I went in stages (as you would when cutting a fringe) to make sure I didn't over do it! They're fine, not particularly amazing at the moment but a work in progress.

I'm sorry I've been AWOL - I've been taking a bit of time to recooperate from missing Michael, the long interview trip and working long days. I need to crack on with my essay too so I have no idea when the next post will be, and for that I'm very sorry. Please bear with me.

What I Wore: Dotty Tights

I thought I'd do a follow up post on the dotty tights I mentioned previously, but also because I just admitted this was my new favourite outfit and it seems silly not to share it if that's the case! This top is from New Look, I got it over Christmas and it's actually from the children's section, I don't know how I can keep buying clothes meant for kids but I certainly don't feel guilty.

 

It's a very simple day-to-day outfit but that's what makes it so good in my opinion :) and don't worry, I have two pairs of tights on.. I'm not just a crazy winter person. I have no idea what goes on in my room in regards to lighting but it doesn't look great, my hair is certainly not copper!

What I wore: a plain striped tee

I went to town with Kate the other day just to get some striped t-shirts. Of course I came back with a dress and new coat etc too but I did get the striped t-shirts, so surely that's alright? Anywho, check out my new long sleeved number!

 

It's rather warm which is good for autumn :) have you been shopping lately?

So as I mentioned in this post, I got a couple things a while ago in the sales - boohoo and urban outfitters. This is the last of my haul (ha, 3 things) but it's special!

It's not toooo see through, but this is how I plan to wear it on a night out - 

casual but still too much for general day to day wear

Silly camera is going blurry again. 

I've tried it on with both my pairs of shorts and when on I thought I preferred it with the darker denim but now I'm thinking the lighter one - what do you reckon?
