Skorts..

I was on training today, which means I was granted a whole hour lunch break! I'm still looking for a few things for the flat, and the little town I was in has a dozen charity shops I like to peruse at my own lunchly leisure.

I managed to pick up a bargain of a skirt (£1!) that looks like this...
And actually turned out to be a pair of shorts... PAHAHA

I'm sorry for the crappy photos but this hilarious incident needed documenting.

What I wore: Miscellaneous Pink Birds

Another item lovely miss Hollie gave me was this skirt. It's actually a boob tube top, butttttttt I knew I wouldn't wear it like that so I decided to make it into a skirt! I just took the sides in a little bit as it wasn't a tight top and I wanted the skirt to have more of a pencil-look (I have taken it in a little bit more since taking these photo's). I'm looking seriously moody in some of these photo's and I have no idea why.. I advise you to look at the skirt and just ignore the face, or laugh at it, that is also acceptable.

This time round I paired it with  my black peplum top (New Look). I just love the pattern of this skirt, I want to wear it all the time but I feel like it's too fancy to wear day to day.. its needs a proper event!

What I wore: Picking Michael Up

I forgot to blog about my Birthday day when Michael's family and I drove to pick him up from the airport, but thinking about it I'm quite happy to keep that day to myself, because it was just perfect :) I will, however, share with you what I decided to wear! You'll probably see a theme occurring of 'this used to be a dress but I decided I didn't like it anymore and decided to change it into a skirt'. Well, yes. I am guilty. But it's better to change it into something that I will wear than throw/give it away, isn't it? and I feel like I get a new wardrobe without having to spend any money (which is more than necessary right now).

This was another skirt I wasn't sure about before I started the project (I think it's because I really didn't like the dress to begin with), but I am just smitten, it's colours are lovely. I do need to take it in a bit but I am a little lazy on that front. My mum won't let me do it unless it's done proper and I'd rather wear it a bit baggy until it annoys me too much, haha! I'm not complaining about my mum - it's the best way to be, there's no point putting half of your effort into something if you want to be proud of it.

K Lans the great

My friend Kate gave me a skirt the other day. It's similar to this one that I wore one Christmas Eve, in fact, it's almost identical just the colours are laid out differently. Oh it's nice/embarrassing to look at old posts. Do you ever think that? haha. So yeah, this time round I paired it with a plain grey top - I think there is just something about the grey colour that is slightly off, and I would like to see it with a black tshirt in this style but I dont own one. So I will make do with this. Brown belt from Primark, shooting star necklace and all my rifles bands as usual.

Should have made more of an effort with my hair, I always miss something out when I do outfit shots!

p.s. I feel like a teenager but, Michael and I went facebook official today. (Grandma, that means he's my boyfriend)
