Hip hop Nails
So, it was Theanas birthday recently and in honesty I didn't know what to get her. Typically I've thought of two good things since so they've made it onto a back up list ;) one item I did buy her however, was my favourite brand of nail polish, in a colour I think she quite likes (nudes)... Whilst browsing for her I clearly couldn't contain myself and ended up buying a lil somethin' somethin'

FRIGHT NIGHTS
You know I'm a sucker for something scary. Films? Definitely. Stories? Uh Huh. Walks in the dark? I'm there. Maybe you weren't around last halloween, but for those of you that were - do you remember Michael and I went to Alton towers for their scarefest? Well this year, we went to Thorpe Park's Fright Night!
This time though, Michael had the wonderful idea of inviting some of my friends from Leeds that he hasn't seen for yonks, and I haven't seen for a while; Theana and Sam, and Harriet and Laurence. So, after many facebook messages back and forth, we managed to choose a date, find somewhere lovely to stay and arrange the whole thing!
As you can see on their website, their are different live action mazes for people to scare you, the rides stay open til late and there are people in character roaming the park with masks and chain saws! Compared to Alton Towers, it was so much better. Actors were allowed to touch you, which made things scarier (I always say to people "they aren't allowed to touch you, if you're scared, just move past them, they can't do anything). WELL THAT'S NOT TRUE! They an do something. They can hold you in that space and touch your face with their fake gnawed arm (true story). And something else that was also better, was that some of the mazes were free play - no holding on to someone in front of you, no safety in numbers, just you making your way through the darkness. Of course I held Michael's hand (dragged him through some of it...) the whole time, but the fact no-one's reassuring hands were on my shoulders added a much needed eery edge.

Because the mazes were so popular, the queues were quite long. That was okay though, because they had actors patrolling and tormenting poor unknowing souls! Check out Sam, he was not okay with that haha.
If you can get down there, I urge you to go! We got the tickets through tesco again so it was relatively cheap, and so much fun. If you do go, save cabin in the woods til last, it was easily the best one.

Weekly Roundup #36
I have had another good week, as I've been making the most of my last few days in my big city! I started out my week making popcorn on the hob - the old fashioned and best way.. without a proper lid ahaha.
It's been a lovely week filled with lots of friends and good fun. As sad as I will be to leave all my friends behind, I'm definitely ready to go home for a long while. I'm going to be redecorating my room so expect a post about that too!
I started packing with just one box.. that has now grown
I had a farewell dinner with Jess and Eley :) we had amaretto tea and blondies
I/Mum bought me some new skirts from a humorous charity shop (thanks mum!)
A friend visited for a day in my little area -
a whole separate post on this else this post will never end haha
Rosi and I went to another little independent cinema to see man of steel
(I love how cheap these are compared to the big chains!!)
I met my boss in town and we went to yo sushi for lunch (both addicted!)
I bought a new lipstick (had a voucher) and a lovely necklace from New Look (£4!!)
A day out with my God mother - again, another post needed! and dinner with Rosi
Dinner at Theana's with Harriet - Homemade Gyros, incredible!
My beautiful flowers from Michael :)

Farewell BBQ
During the good weather we had in the first weekend of June, I invited lots of friends to my residence for a farewell BBQ! All of them started their first uni days here as freshers, so it seemed apt for them to come back for the final send off. Everyone brought something to the table and there was plenty of food left over (which never happens!), so it was certainly good. Plus the weather stayed nice which was great.
Too many photo's of friends.. read more!

Weekly Roundup #34
Are you ready for possibly the longest weekly catch up I will ever write? It's more like a monthly catch up, and there are gona be so many photo's I'll have to make them a medium size rather than large. I have been up to lots, but most of it has been sat at my laptop, writing away. I'm thoroughly enjoying my latest project though, so this is certainly not a complaint.
Whilst looking over everything I'm about to post about, I've noticed it's mainly drinks haha. I've moved away from my food and just onto the drinks it appears!

Weekly Roundup #33
Another super busy Leeds week. I need to take some time out to start my next essay! I will definitely get to it this week. This photo week started last Sunday with banana bread and chocolate at Theana's watching Harry Potter!
I tried a new porrige recipe, mmm, and I met with Harriet and Alyna for a cuppa/juice
Where we found this sweet origami crane
at a sleepover I had taco's for the first (and last) time, and we played coppit, ha!
It was my boss' birthday
I had fajitas with Tzatiki
and today I have created something new -eggy bread bacon sandwich. oh yes. I went there.
I can't chat too much today as I'm sorting my to-do list so I can start reading for my essay. Some firemen popped to my residence already today and I had to tour them without any make up on.. yay for spot inspections. Have you had a good week?

Weekly Roundup #32
I have had a busy week returning to uni; a quiet evening on duty, Canadian friends for dinner, meal with Theana and Harriet, a cheeky niece, sending Michael packages, hand washing clothes, tea and lunch with Eley and Harriet, drinks with Bex from undergrad and an eventful Friday night with Kate in A&E. Saturday I went on a day trip that I shall probably save to share tomorrow :)
dinner with the Canadian (we had beef au jus - so so so good)
This was one of the game we played during lunch with a couple of friends
Haz and I bossed this game (Michael Palin's around the world - who even knows.)
Michael's latest package, it had some good activities!
Had a bit of an accident and needed to hand wash a couple of items
(my first experience of this, went quite well I reckon!)
Kate, the trooper, in A&E
our treat for an awful afternoon
(she exited a job interview, fell down the stairs, and got taken to A&E, I rushed out of a lecture/work, met her at A&E and single handedly carried her home. Okay that didn't happen, but I did call her taxi)
Eventful week! and then a bit later on I am off to Theana's to watch Harry Potter. Also, fingers crossed, Michael might be able to call, yippeeee! xx
