My friend Kate gave me a skirt the other day. It's similar to this one that I wore one Christmas Eve, in fact, it's almost identical just the colours are laid out differently. Oh it's nice/embarrassing to look at old posts. Do you ever think that? haha. So yeah, this time round I paired it with a plain grey top - I think there is just something about the grey colour that is slightly off, and I would like to see it with a black tshirt in this style but I dont own one. So I will make do with this. Brown belt from Primark, shooting star necklace and all my rifles bands as usual.

 

Should have made more of an effort with my hair, I always miss something out when I do outfit shots!

p.s. I feel like a teenager but, Michael and I went facebook official today. (Grandma, that means he's my boyfriend)

Don't say my love is too familiar

So a while ago I bought a lovely new skirt, and decided I needed a top to go with it. I'm yet to indulge in the peplum trend but just had to see if it suited me (who am I kidding, peplum suits everyone!). Mine is from New Look, the skirt is from boohoo. My question to you guys, is which necklace do you like best?!

I love it, but I might have to return it.. it didn't have a price tag on it and it almost cost as much as a pair of jeans, and I definitely cannot afford it at the moment (Daisy had a poorly exhaust :|). But which necklace do you like best?! I think I'd go with the spikey one now.. Michael was right!

Thought I'd do an outfit post as I haven't in a little while. Not much to say about this bad boy, I always look at other peoples posts and admire outfits but they're never anything practical that I could see myself wearing every day. Therefore I thought I'd bring this simple outfit into the public domain. I know lots of people go for this kind of thing - a top and a scarf. I am a fan, but I can't wrap the scarf, I feel like an emotional teenager who doesn't know who she is if I do that.

 

This has been a go-to outfit in these cold patches, nice and cosy :) we had lovely weather again yesterday so I'm hoping it's here to stay for a bit longer! Are you having a good week? I've been rather busy but in a good way :) lots of tea with friends.

What I wore: Oh Hey there Autumn

So I know I'm late on the 'it's definitely Autumn' post, but over the past couple of days my huge city has turned FREEZING! It's come out of nowhere and absolutely blown me away. I love autumn, it has my two favourite holidays (no, actually, I don't care if no one else calls them holidays) Halloween and bonfire night. I love dressing up cosy and this post is inspired by general autumnal wear. I like the word autumnal, it reminds me of Mr Tumnus from the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. Anywho, onto the outfit. This jumper was donated to me by my nan, but actually it's my granddads ha! paired with my turquoise jeans.

Darn. I've just reaslised I haven't got Adam on. I will be wearing him too. I reckon this would look quite sweet with some brown shoes but I just don't own any, do you have any recommendations?

What I wore: trade mark pose ha

Haha I chose that title because the pose in the last photo in the post seems to be in every outfit post, I just seem love it haha. This skirt has been in my wardrobe all summer and I kept looking down my nose at it until I tried it on again. I'm gutted I've been so snobby, because I must have just worn it wrong in the first place because now I love it!

I wore this outfit to a family birthday BBQ and of course I wore my new poppy and fern necklace! Okay I lie, in this post I was playing around with puffing my fringe up and forgot to take the clip out haha, please 'scuse the blue

What I wore: Aztec

So I mentioned on Sunday that I went to my grandparents club at the weekend, no we don't belong to anything over fancy, it was just our local British Legion. So I tried to snap a couple of photo's before I went out but there was only really one decent one, and in my brilliance (after a pint or two...) I decided to take some more. The colour is certainly off as I didn't change the camera settings but they're pretty funny still!

The top is from Ark but a long while ago and perhaps surprisingly, the black skirt is in fact a long plain strappy dress from Topshop.

Family Day

It my nan's birthday tomorrow and my uncle came down to visit with part of his family, so we all went out for a carvery today. It was a very casual affair and I planned on just putting a skirt and top on, but as I started to put the outfit together I added some more things and it got a bit fancier. I've styled this skirt before, here, but this is something new :)

Serious attitude problem in this post, because I was kinda in a hurry I think!

I was very pleased with the heat and sun that was on display today! Was a nice little slice of summer which made me very happy. I don't have many plans for a little while now apart from my birthday on Wednesday, which will be a very special post indeed so look out!

p.s. if anyone did click the link to the previous post on this skirt, can you notice how much my confidence has grown whilst doing outfit posts? I look so timid and shy and it was only December! 

What I wore: Blue Heart

As I mentioned in this post, my mum and I have been making a couple of things recently. Not only a couple of cute tops like we've made before, but we also branched out to a skirt this time! I got the material from trago mills (general discount store) for about £3.80 a metre but I only needed half so it was very cheap. We followed this as a general guideline that was helpfully found through pinterest :)

It is just the skirt, but I made the grey belt especially too. I will probably make another skirt the next time I find some sweet material so I'll do a little photo tutorial, although the one linked really is comprehensive enough!

It just is what it is

I just love it because it's gona be so versatile, I've already worn it with two different tops! Certainly will be making more as soon as I find some material I love :) 

What I wore: Charity

So, as mentioned in this post, my sister and I went charity shop shopping the other day. I think she's a good luck charm for me as I never find anything worthy if I don't take her along too! I managed to find this sweet little dress in the second shop and bagged it for a cheeky £3! it has a Jane Norman tag so it's pretty swish :)

Not that you can see in these photo's but I've got a black suede pair of kitten heels on,

just for a bit of height and to make my legs look swish :)

as you can see it is quite bright but I think it's completely lovely! It is a weenie bit small and squishes things up top as you can see haha but for £3 even if I had complaints they wouldn't be worth making really would they? Do you browse charity shops? Have you found anything great recently? Link me, I'd love to see :)
