photo and hour #4 - birthday edition, 21

FINALLY! My phone has been playing up since Monday which is why I haven't posted - I've been up to things and I wrote about them but without the photo's they just seemed rubbish, so please accept my apologies and lets move on...

As my smelly sister mentioned, yesterday was my 21st birthday and my lovely father took me to Nathan Outlaw's 2 Michelin star restaurant! I know I am a very lucky girl as we had starters AND dessert, that doesn't usually happen. So, I took a photo and hour - birthday edition - to share with you my day :)
830am, shower
930am, opening cards and presents (and making a list for the thank yous..)

10am Dad and I taking nice photo's for once :)

1030am, setting off for Rock, Cornwall

1130am, gah the rain is not my friend

same - waiting for dad in the loo

1230, got there a little early to walk around but it was peeing it down so we had some tea

and wandered around a lovely shop - I got this ladies name, really lovely items!

130pm, finally at Nathan Outlaw's (review of this soon)

The meal

we finished the meal around 3/315pm

330, driving back - I love Cornish lanes!

Stopping off at Trago's for some treats

430, seeing nan for my birthday cake! She's amazing at decorating, here's the one from last year.

530, Michael's sister dropped off his surprise present and I noticed something about the card he bought...

630, swooning over a soon-to-be-mine (and personalised) lovely necklace from poppy and fern, also check them out of Facebook.

I then spent the evening planning some sessions for work and then visiting my sister and having a good long chat about everything! 21 certainly has treated me well, and I'm not as hesitant of getting older as I felt last year.

So, here's the third in the series of photo's into my day. I've gained some new readers recently so I'd just like to say a quick hello to you! It's lovely to have you stop by :)

9am, waking up

10am, sorting out my room, this is just half of one third of my clothes

11am, driving to a nice cafe for lunch

12pm, leek and potato soup

1pm, feeding baby geese

2pm, playing with the kitty

3pm, popping out to mums

4pm, some craft

5pm, spag bol for tea at mums

6pm, baking some afters

After we ate the biscuits, we continued on with crafting and having a natter, then I drove home and had a shower. It's been a lovely relaxed day that I'm savoring as I'll be starting work soon and will have no time to myself! Have you been busy?

#2 A photo an hour

Gee I suck at getting things done on time!! I set a goal to do this once a month and I still haven't gotten around to it for March. Again, it's going to be on the weekend as my job means I really couldn't show you my weekday life.

I was up at 840, ridiculously early for a weekend and typical of a working girl. I felt like putting some summer outfits together and seeing what would go with a couple of my new tops. I'm trying to brave pairing them with shorts because I love the look but I'm just not that way inclined. Small photo's because it's not something I particularly like!

Please scuse the photo's.. no makeup and need a shower ha

9am, Then I climbed back into bed to catch up on some blogs and enter a couple of give-aways whilst still pining after Thursday's want list.

10am, Next.. and if you know me you guessed it.. I watched Saturday Morning Kitchen with Theana <3 I also had the tastiest ice lolly for breakfast. I'm an adult and I get to decide what I have for breakfast, ha.

11am, still watching Saturday morning kitchen, with a (very weak) coffee and a snack nearby for when the cravings for decent food get too strong. Salt and pepper rice cakes - surprisingly hot!!

12, Theana and I are contemplating making our own mushy peas or cauliflower (we've had this recipe for a while).' The Little Paris Kitchen: cooking with Rachel Khoo' is my new favourite programme - I've always wanted to live in Paris! I also love how her kitchen is decorated, and I've never found a kitchen that I'd love to have... breakthrough!

sorry about the annoying line through the photo - I tried like 20 times to get one without it, but here's what I love about the kitchen:
  1. patterned tiles
  2. wood counters
  3. white basin/silver sink
  4. items nailed to the wall/hanging on the wall

1pm, carrot and coriander soup for lunch with a green tea.

2pm, rekindled my love with Metronomy

3pm, showertime

4pm, deciding what to wear tonight and getting ready (fake tan and hair rollers!)

it's been a very naked day, eh!

5pm, dinner - noodles and green tea. This is not a usual dinner and I was considering having a jacket potato but a. I don't want to bloat for later on and b. I need time to get ready!

Theana's dinner, much better and I shoulda eaten that.

6pm, helping Theana choose what to wear tonight by donating my entire wardrobe

7pm, I've already done Theana's hair and now she's just doing mine...

8pm, finished product. Hair, tan, make up and clothed.
very serious face because I'm trying to not do it in the mirror ha.

9pm - a mess with lots of guests. I shall finish my day here :)
Hope you've had a lovely day too.

A photo an hour

I know lots of blogs do this, and that I'm just jumping on the band wagon.. but I'm okay with that, because no two people's days are going to be the same!

Today I woke up particularly early - definite trait of being a working girl - so today we start at 8am.
8am - Reading in bed

9am - chores, putting some washing on

both of these are 10am - sat infront of the TV waiting for Saturday morning kitchen, checking out some blogs with a cup of tea and a jaffa cake donut for breakfast.

11am, getting ready for the day, choosing an outfit

12pm, morrisons shop

1pm, lunch time. Soup and a herby bread roll
2pm, making dinner for the day (this recipe will feature soon!)
3pm, dissertation research that is not going well.
4pm, organising my iTunes library on my new laptop, so boring/frustrating
I HAVE WHATTTT ON HERE?!
WHY AM I STILL DOING THIS. IT'S SOUL DESTROYING.

5pm Researching good soft chalk so I can try the soft hair chalk tip I found on pinterest

6pm, sat around waiting for my dinner to be ready, snacking on ham whilst it's not ready and reading my book
7pm, dinner (recipe tomorrow)

8pm relaxing in front of the TV with tea <3

Sorry about the quality of some of the photos, some were on my DSLR some were on my iPhone and some were on my webcam. Although my day's been pretty uneventful, it's been good. I hope you've had a good day too!
