What I wore: a plain striped tee

I went to town with Kate the other day just to get some striped t-shirts. Of course I came back with a dress and new coat etc too but I did get the striped t-shirts, so surely that's alright? Anywho, check out my new long sleeved number!

It's rather warm which is good for autumn :) have you been shopping lately?

Nakd.

I am not a fan of raisins. I can handle them in carrot cake or other dishes, but by themselves I'd rather not. However, Nakd have some new items out that I love!

I love the cartoons on the back and their new slogan 'nature is nicer'.

I love that they're one of your five a day but also satisfy a sweet craving
(I'm lame enough to have them for dessert)

I have to admit that the cola raisins are my favourite. I have literally had three packets already. I wasn't keen on the cherry raisins but the lime ones are also quite tasty. I wanted the cashew bar to have more cashews than it did so I felt a little let down but it definitely hasn't discouraged me from trying more of the range!

Halloween

I've made no mistake of telling you guys that I love Halloween, because I really do. But this year, because I have a commitment in the evening, I'm not able to go out and get drunk (I'm not a fan of that on Halloween anyways but I also don't know of any house parties) so instead, I will be dressing up alllllllll day long! I've decided to be a pumpkin this year :) and my outfit is rather simple.

First, buy a plain orange top, I got mine from here.

then draw the pattern/face you'd like on the top.

I chose to cut mine out as I'm wearing a tight black dress underneath, but I think it'd be better if you could get a black marker and colour it in as I have a couple of flappy bits. That said I am very much looking forward to wearing it out all day (to work too!) even though my friends said it wouldn't be socially acceptable. Do you have any tips to stabilize the flappy parts? I considered sewing them together but that'd mean the mouth had string in it and I'm not sure if that's the effect I'm going for. Will have to play around!

Pierce me.

I have lots of piercings. I am a fan. I have my; tragus, lobes twice, rook, inner helix, belly button and most recently, outer helix. I've been playing around with the idea since before Summer and I've been glancing at my pinterest board for a while so I decided to just take the plunge.

the new piercing is the one my finger is on in the first photo

On the left photo, the pink flower is called the rook piercing, then lobe is the two right next to each other, and outer helix next to my finger.
On the right photo, from the top is inner helix, then tragus and then two lobes again.

I received a present from Ginger Pickle yesterday as I won a giveaway so keep your eyes peeled for that post! (Those flowery studs are one of the prizes and I'm trying to figure out if I can pull them off :) )

What I wore: Skulls and Flowers

This skirt usually lives at the bottom of a pile in one of my drawers. I do not doubt that it is a beautiful skirt, but it does sit slightly funny if you wear it with a tight top. For literally a year I had no idea what to wear with it, until now! I now have my new favourite outfit.

What do you think? What would you pair it with?

What I wore; Pink Ballet Skirt

I have been meaning to do this post for SO long. Finally have some (crappy quality) photo's of the outfit.

it's very simple and it's warm enough with a cardigan in autumn which is just perfect! I do apologise they're all phone photos but you work with what you've got :)

Nails #3 Galaxy Nails

I saw this on Kaylah's blog a long while back, but fell in love straight away. I thought it'd be quite difficult to do but I was actually wrong! It was simpler than some of the celotape designs I do and a lot more fun/creative.

I would do a tutorial of how to do galaxy nails, but Jen over at Polish and Pearls did such a good job, I don't really think mine would be of any use! All I would say is that I didn't have as bright a blue as Jen did and it still looks cool, and I only had one type of glittery nail polish - so do what you can with what you have, any which way galaxy nails are cool in my book.

what do you think?! I'm so proud, I look down at them all day long and I'm gona be sad when they start chipping. Definitely give it a go though, and let me know how it goes :)

Weekly Roundup #13

My weeks are odd. I have Monday and Tuesday off, so I usually do all my work on those days so that I can almost relax on weds/thurs/friday, however, I always have lectures on thurs and friday so I make all my plans on a Wednesay and the end of the week feels like one big mad busy rush. So I do apologise for the lack of posts towards the end of the week!

I go to a very pretty univeristy
