What I wore: Fleece Lined

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of charity shops. I nabbed this little bargain a while ago, and asked my mum to take it up. It was quite an effort as it is some kind of magical dress that always looks tapered. It cost a grand total of 90p as the shop had a half price sale on that day, and although a button is missing, it was still a clear steal!

 

I paired it with the wide grey belt I made, and the mustard clip belt from primark. I also have fleece lined leggings and, to make up for the little amount spent on the dress, MY NEW BOOTS!! ee! from this post the other day, I got paid holiday pay unexpectedly, and decided it was my necessary purchase. The delivery was quick, the boots fit great and inside they are also fleece lined - a nice touch that wasn't listed (or I didn't read.. which is more likely)

I'm excited to put together more outfits with these badboys, I'm so glad they arrived in time for Autumn! And with this awful storm coming in, I will still be toasty.

What I wore: Autumn's adaptation

So I've been away for a little while. I fell out of love with blogging, and I'm not quite sure if we're fully reconciled just yet. Michael is back on Saturday (praise the Lord), so I might get better then, as I like documenting what we get up to. 

I don't know what's happened to be honest. I think it might be the routine of it all - taking the photos, uploading the photos, transferring them across, arranging them. It's become monotonous. I don't feel the same reward I did when I first started. But what reward was that? I don't blog for anyone but myself really, so what was I getting then that I'm not getting now? I don't know, but I need to figure it out. 

 

I should have dark tights on really, but I haven't actually left the house yet. 

I know I moaned, but without the dissertation to write, my days are my own. So I feel like I have a lot more time to give to something. I'm just not feeling that it's the blog. I have been making lots of different foods and recipes, with no motivation to share them. I've been spending more time deciding what to wear, without wanting to show anyone.

Autumn Style

I found this photo on Pinterest earlier, and decided it was the epitome of Autumn style - something I very much am a fan of. Having had my summer style cemented far before summer came around, I decided I wanted to do the same for Autumn (even if it's already on its way). I actually have very few components of an outfit like this - no denim shirt (also thinking different coloured checks would suit), no boots, no leggings. I have (many) a scarf, I have a cardigan, I have under tops. Hmm.

So from there I've been doing a little research, (of course).

Leggings, I bought these -they are fleece lined!! how toasty am I gona be when that wind comes whipping round. I'll let you know if they're worth the purchase or not too.

I am majorly crushing on both these and these boots, but alas, right now I cannot afford them. I will be purchasing these or something similar when I get paid.

Shirt wise, I am loving checked ones; one, two, three, four; but some might need to be taken in. For other shirts, one, two,

For cardigans/jumpers one, two, three, four (so many colours).

I have also been wanting a leather jacket for over a year. I finally took the plunge to start researching them, to see what kind of styles I think I'd be interested in. Here is a short list of my favourites, one, two, three.

If only I had a money tree in the back garden, huh? Until then, I shall carry on with outfits like this, this, this and this.

What I wore: Oh Hey there Autumn

So I know I'm late on the 'it's definitely Autumn' post, but over the past couple of days my huge city has turned FREEZING! It's come out of nowhere and absolutely blown me away. I love autumn, it has my two favourite holidays (no, actually, I don't care if no one else calls them holidays) Halloween and bonfire night. I love dressing up cosy and this post is inspired by general autumnal wear. I like the word autumnal, it reminds me of Mr Tumnus from the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. Anywho, onto the outfit. This jumper was donated to me by my nan, but actually it's my granddads ha! paired with my turquoise jeans.

Darn. I've just reaslised I haven't got Adam on. I will be wearing him too. I reckon this would look quite sweet with some brown shoes but I just don't own any, do you have any recommendations?

Recent Purchases

My reliable year-old leather pumps from New Look have finally packed it in, I can't feel sad because they have served me oh so well and I wore them religiously over summer. I also don't remember the last time I bought flats. So meet my new pumps, black, reliable, plain and  most importantly, leather. purchased here.

Over summer I kept meaning to buy new earrings for my rook/tragus and I've just been putting it off so I finally pulled my finger out and purchased these beautys

I have just been using labret bars on my tragus and that works fine but the earring is much too bulky, and in my rook I've just put a normal bent earring but it keeps falling out and it drives me crazy, so I thought I'd try a nose stud instead. Pretty weird purchases to be honest but they were necessary ones! 

I'd also like some warm layered jumpers for autumn, but alas, this is as far as my purchases have gone and the rest is just a dream (e.g....
