Wooden Hearts
Mum had a draw full of little wooden hearts that she makes into beautiful hanging pieces or adds to other craft ideas. I decided I wanted to make one too! I sanded down the edges, considered what I'd want it to be for, and started searching! I decided the colour scheme would be browns/golds to have a worn/antique look to it, and that I would use my favourite quote. I used an ink pad to colour the edges, and a wooden stamp to get a wood affect of the main part of the heart. I then cut individual letters out of my mums poetry book and used my favourite lace! On the flip side I used extra little sequin details from an old top, made a hole in the top, and used twine to hang it with. Lovely.
